Inspired by landscape (usually Australian), Ondine Seabrook oscillates between abstraction and representation. Working with bold and playful palettes, Seabrook’s work is an exploration of the natural world and carries with it a sense of memory that entwines with nostalgia to give her paintings a poignant quality.
Ondine Seabrook is a Sydney based painter, who graduated from Sydney’s National Art School in 2017. Her work swings between being a response to place and a reaction to materials, depending on what stage is at in her very process driven practice. In a more abstract aesthetic sense her works are equally concerned with playing around with composition, layering and shapes.
